Bottle Case
Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Collection
Our 18th-Century Bottle Case, traditionally known as a Cellaret, is an exact reproduction of an original in the collection of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, Virginia. Crafted from solid walnut, the cellaret rests on a slender Federal-style frame with tapered legs and restrained inlay.
Traditionally designed to store wine and spirits, the original cellaret was featured in the Virginia Museum’s landmark 1952 exhibition of Southern American furniture.
