Our Savannah Bed is inspired by a traditional Southern bed, featuring hand-carved tobacco leaf details and substantial 4" reeded posts. The reeded upper sections of the posts add a graceful detail to this classic four-poster design.

Construction

Mortise-and-tenon joinery with 8-way bolted construction and steel bed slats for exceptional strength and easy disassembly for moving.

Post Width

Posts are crafted from 16/4 solid hardwood and dressed to a 3¾" square.

Post Height

One-piece solid wood posts with a 6½" finial, for an overall height of 8".

Headboard Height

27" solid wood headboard, mortised into the posts, with an overall height of 54½".

Mortise Height

Mortise height: 12" (from the floor to the bottom of the side rail)
To estimate the height of your mattress from the floor, add 1" to the mortise height, then add the combined height of your box spring and mattress.

Example: 12" mortise + 1" side rail + 6" box spring + 10" mattress = 29" mattress height.

Care & Maintenance

For routine care, dust with a feather duster or wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using furniture polishes, as they may react with the finish and change its appearance over time.
